This collection was inspired by a college project where I took a XL pair of men’s Wrangler jeans from a thrift store and recon-structed it into a woman’s high waist mini skirt. This collection promotes a second life for denim, instead of it ending up in a landfill. The idea behind the fabric is to collect at least 90% cotton denim in all shades and conditions and sew it all together to cut out the pattern pieces.
